AFL preserves the value of a customer's investment by maintaining the software modules up to date. As AFL has a single set of modules all customers can benefit for developments commissioned for specific customers or undertaken by AFL in its continuing quest to provide better applications.
Application Maintenance: The software modules are maintained and upgraded in line with new requirements from both existing and potential customers. Application maintenance refers to enhancements and fixes to the standard models and functions.
There is one major release of all the modules each year.
Customers can suggest new functionality for inclusion into forthcoming versions.
Customers can implement new versions when they are ready to take advantage of the new functionality and bug fixes incorporated in the release.
Technical Maintenance: The underlying FrameWorks product uses a technological platform; this includes the operating system, database management system and management tool set.
There is an annual release that takes advantage of changes in the technology platform: these releases can be implemented by customers to keep pace with technology changes.
